Başak Altan, Özyeğin Üniversitesi'nde Ekonomi alanında Doktor Öğretim Üyesidir. Dr. Altan, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi'nden Ekonomi alanında lisans (B.S.) ve Matematik alanında lisans (B.A.) derecelerini (2004) almış, Ekonomi alanındaki doktora (Ph.D.) derecesini ise Kuzey Karolina Üniversitesi, Chapel Hill'den (2010) almıştır. Dr. Altan'ın araştırma ilgi alanları arasında endüstriyel organizasyon, oyun teorisi, bilgi ekonomisi ve ulaşım ekonomisi yer almaktadır.
