OzU Faculty Member Dr. İsmail Arı Joins the Board of Directors at ASELSAN

Dr. İsmail Arı, Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering at Özyegin University and the Director of Knowledge, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (KTTE), has been appointed as a member of the ASELSAN Board of Directors (BoD) in the 10th Extraordinary General Assembly held on September 22, 2023. Elected as an independent member, Dr. Arı will also serve as the Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee within the Board of Directors.

Dr. Arı has held diverse positions within the Turkish defense industry for over a decade. These roles include Vice President at TÜBİTAK, Board Member at TÜBİTAK SAGE (Defense Industries Research and Development Institute), Board Member at SAHA Istanbul (Defense and Aerospace Cluster) Association, and General Manager of Teknopark Istanbul, a joint venture between SSB (Defense Industry Agency) and ITO (Istanbul Chamber of Commerce).

Dr. Arı places great importance on enhancing university-industry collaborations within the defense sector, supporting domestic hardware and software development initiatives, and promoting entrepreneurship.
