Özyeğin University Students' Redesign Projects for Dedeman Palandöken Ski Lodge Hotel Undergo Final Jury Evaluation

The Department of Interior Architecture and Environment Design at Özyeğin University has entered into a comprehensive collaboration with Dedeman Hotels Resorts International to bring the inspiring and creative ideas of prospective young interior designers into the tourism sector. As part of the project, senior students from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design are expected to redesign the Dedeman Palandöken Ski Lodge Hotel in alignment with their academic coursework.

In the initial phase of the collaboration, 33 students and faculty members from Özyeğin University were hosted at Park Dedeman Bostancı Hotel on October 5, 2023. The brand's top executives and architectural team delivered presentations on Dedeman’s corporate identity and standards to share the design approaches of the Dedeman brand with the students.

Within the scope of the collaboration, 29 students were expected to complete their projects by the end of the 2023-2024 Fall semester. If a project is deemed suitable for implementation following the midterm and final jury evaluations conducted by a panel of judges which also includes Dedeman's top executives and architectural team leaders, the project would then be purchased, and implemented in a selected Dedeman hotel. Accordingly, the final jury evaluation for the INAR 401 (Interior Design Studio V) course, which was dedicated to the project, took place on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 9 AM to 4 PM in the G25 seminar hall in the AB4 Building at Özyeğin University. 28 students presented their projects during the jury evaluation, and a ceremony concluded the event, with Rıfat Dedeman in attendance. If one or more projects are found suitable for implementation, they will be purchased and implemented in a chosen Dedeman hotel.
