Euro Working Group Conference on Financial Modelling at OzU

The 46th Meeting of the Euro Working Group on Financial Modelling will be organized on 20-22 May 2010. Held twice a year around the world, particularly in Europe, the conference will take place at Özyeğin University for the first time in Turkey.

The two key note speakers of the conference “Financial Modeling during and after Financial Crisis” are Prof. Vedat Akgiray,  Chairman of the Capital Markets Board (SPK) of Turkey, and Prof. Helyette Geman, Professor of Finance at Birkbeck, University of London.

The main focus of the conference will be the overall performance of complex models used in asset pricing, pricing of derivatives, financial forecasting, portfolio management and risk management  during the 2007-2008 global crisis. The conference will also introduce the latest research papers  on the said areas.

Held with the participation of 41 academicians from 15 countries, the conference aims to share the latest information in finance and strengthen the interaction between theory and practice.
