Game of Your Life Final

OzU has launched a unique and innovative Facebook application for high school students to visualize today their university and post-university years. As a first in the world,  “The Game of Your Life” (Hayatının Oyunu) offers participants to dream, create and experience the future five years they will spend at the university and after graduation. Throughout the game participants will come across with different life-defining moments where they are expected to make important life decision that will culminate into a 2.5 minute video showing their future resume based on their life choices. Participants will be able to share their videos on Facebook with their friends. The application is available at www.hayatininoyunu.com.
 
The top three students that achieve to collect the highest number of “Like”s on Facebook for their videos will be awarded with an iPad Mini. Participants of the Game of Your Life will also be able to capture additional scholarship opportunities from OzU including  scholarships for 30 students to study at OzU and paid internship opportunities at institutions selected by OzU for 40 students, irrelevant of the university they are placed to.
 
The Game of Your Life aims to help students to visualize and define a different future for themselves today and raise their awareness about the possible opportunities they can seize in order to be one step ahead of others both in their personal and professional lives upon graduation.

The Game of Your Life” (Hayatının Oyunu) gives participants to unique opportunity to plan the future five years they will spend at the university and upon graduation. Throughout the game, participants will come across with different twists and turns of life where they are expected to make important life decisions including the program they will study, the time they will spare for their assignments and social life, the student clubs they will be associated with, the industry in which they will complete their internships and even the countries they will visit as Erasmus exchange students. At the end of the game, their decisions will culminate into a 2.5 minute personal video showing their future lives with different images and visuals that represent their life choices.
 
Make Your Choice, Watch Your Future on Facebook Timeline and Seize the Opportunity to Study at Ozyegin University with Scholarship!
The top three students that share their videos on Facebook with the title “If you believe your friend will have such a future, please like the video”; and achieve to collect the highest number of “Like”s on Facebook will be awarded with an iPad. 12th grade participants of the Game of Your Life will also be entitled to apply for the second stage of the game where they can capture additional scholarship opportunities from OzU. Students who wish to seize the additional scholarship opportunities from Özyeğin University are expected to submit their scholarship applications along with a short essay of 1000 characters on “why they apply for this scholarship and the differences they will make upon their graduations”. Following the evaluations, conference calls and one-on-one interviews, 300 students will be invited to the Semi Finals and Finals  to be held on Özyeğin University Çekmeköy Campus to convince the panel of judges featuring the leading figures of the business world.
