Design for Interiors Seminar Series / Dr. Pınar Sunar Bükülmez

Our seminar series “Design for Interiors” continues in the 2020 Spring semester with creative professionals and academicians from the interior architecture discipline. Our first invited speaker is Assistant Prof. Pınar Sunar Bükülmez from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environment Design at Bahçeşehir University. Bükülmez received her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environment Design at Bahçeşehir University in 2007. She received her master’s degree in Construction Technology from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2011 and her Ph.D.  in Construction Sciences from Istanbul Technical University in 2019. Her Ph.D thesis title was “Experimental Study on Fire Behavior of Steel–Concrete Composite Cellular Beams with Large Opening Ratio”. Her main areas of interests include fire safety design, fire resistance of materials, and interior architecture education.
