HBR Live Webinar: Good Guys
The #MeToo movement has not necessarily been a catalyst to move men to action in their organizations. Some evidence reveals it has increased the likelihood of men avoiding women entirely, actually exacerbating gender inequalities.
But very many men are eager to learn how to be truly inclusive. They want to make a difference. They are good guys, they just don’t know where to start. That’s what David Smith, a sociologist and former Navy pilot, and Brad Johnson, a psychology professor, have found over years of qualitative research on gender, leadership, and mentorship.
On 9 December, David and Brad will share the latest social science research underpinning their new book, Good Guys: How Men Can Be Better Allies for Women in the Workplace, and provide evidence-based practices for developing interpersonal, public, and systemic allyship.
In this webinar, you will learn how to:
- Identify and challenge traditional workplace gender ‘rules’
- Become a proactive ally in the workplace
- Become an advocate for organizational change
- Increase your gender intelligence (GQ)
