The Department of International Relations invites you to the book launch event titled "Salvation and Catastrophe: The Greek-Turkish War 1919-1922." The book launch event edited by Dr. Konstantinos Travlos will take place online via Zoom on 30th of November between 20:00-21:15 together with Dr. Deniz Ş. Sert, Dr. Edward J. Erickson, Dr. Öner Akgül, Dr. Merih Erol, and Doruk Akyüz.

Dr. Konstantinos Travlos obtained his BA from Panteion University in Athens, his MA from the Committee of International Relations at the University of Chicago, and completed his PhD at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013. Before coming to Özyeğin, he taught in the Global Studies program of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science of Georgia Southern University for the 2013-2014 academic period. He specializes in International Relations and International Conflict, with an interest in the quantitative study of international relations history, major power politics, and the emergence of international regimes that foster peace or conflict. His research focuses on the relationship between interstate managerial coordination (IMaC) and conflict dynamics in the global and regional international political systems.
