Özyeğin University Takes Part in Sivrihisar Air Shows

Özyeğin University will attend the Sivrihisar Air Shows organized by Sivrihisar International Sportive Aviation Center, Turkey’s first air park. Özyeğin University will be represented by the Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Science to introduce its amenities and the Faculty to aviation aficionados.

This year marks the second edition of Sivrihisair Air Shows. The event will bring together aviation enthusiasts from all around Turkey on September 16-17, 2017. The Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Science will represent Özyeğin University at its stand during the event. Among other participants are national and international academic institutions in aviation, aviation businesses, and manufacturers. During the two-day event, the participants will introduce their activities to the guests.

This year’s theme is “Acrobatic Shows”. In line with this year’s theme, professional aerobatic pilots will perform breathtaking air shows in the Sivrihisar sky.

Turkey’s first professional civil aerobatic pilot Mr. Ali İsmet Öztürk, and Turkey’s first woman aerobatic pilot Ms. Semin Öztürk, will take to the sky to put on a unique display of awe-inspiring air shows, along with the Turkish Aeronautical Association’s glider team as well as other national and international pilots. In addition to aerobatic shows, the event will feature flybys by TAI Hürkuş Training Aircraft designed by TUSAŞ, and the Turkish Armed Forces’ helicopter “Atak”. The event program also includes parachute demonstration jumps and model aircraft shows.
