Our University Attends the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week with its Innovative Projects
The Turkey Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week started off on December 6 to discuss hot topics that will change the agenda of Turkey. The event has brought together industrialists, academicians, university students, technology leaders, entrepreneurs, angel investors, NGOs, R&D and scientific, technology centers from Turkey and all around the world under the same roof. Organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the event is taking place at the Istanbul Congress Center and will last till December 9. Özyeğin University takes part in the event with its projects and the innovative studies undertaken by its research centers. During the Turkey Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week, Özyeğin University will introduce its OKATEM, EVATEG, Industry 4.0 Center of Excellence, and Quantum Key Distribution Network projects as well as its research centers at its booth at the Istanbul Congress Center.
All of the innovative projects developed by OzU faculty and students at technoparks and research centers are now being showcased on the same platform in celebration of the Turkey Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week. Our University’s research centers “Research, Development, Training, and Application Center for Energy Efficient LED Lighting Technologies” (EVATEG), “Center of Excellence for Optical Wireless Communications Technologies” (OKATEM) are also being introduced to visitors. Among the new projects showcased at our booth are Industry 4.0 Center of Excellence Project and the Quantum Key Distribution Network projects. Developed in cooperation with the White Goods Suppliers Association (BEYSAD) and the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), the Industry 4.0 Center of Excellence Project has recently been awarded funding by the Ministry of Science, Industry, and Technology within the scope of the Competitive Sectors Program. The Quantum Key Distribution Network projects were developed in the Applied Quantum Optics Laboratory in order to establish the technological infrastructure of a country-wide quantum communications network.
