The IR Department invites you to a talk by Prof. Dr. Ali Çarkoğlu titled “Are Turkey's Elections Predictable?” 

Are Turkish elections predictable? Professor Çarkoğlu answers this question using theories of voting behavior and survey data from Turkey. We cordially invite you to this exciting webinar before the upcoming May 2023 elections.

Prof. Dr. Ali Çarkoğlu

Professor Ali Çarkoğlu is a Professor of Political Science and member of the Science Academy. He holds a PhD in Political Sciences from SUNY-Binghamton,(1994), an MA in Economics from Rutgers University (1989), an MA in Economics from Boğaziçi University (1988), and a BA in Economics from Boğaziçi University(1986). Professor Çarkoğlu teaches comparative politics, public choice theory, voting behavior, Turkish politics, research design and methods, basic statistics and regression methods, regression methods for categorical dependent variables, survey methods, and social network analysis. His recent research focuses on voting behavior, party systems and political parties, religiosity, social capital, public opinion, and Turkish politics.
