The Palestinian Issue and the Hamas-Israel War in the 21st Century

As the Department of International Relations, we are delighted to organize a discussion aiming to better understand and engage in a discourse regarding the ongoing conflict of significant global importance between Israel and Palestine.

In this discussion, we will evaluate the current agenda by delving into this critical issue with the experienced perspective of Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlkim Okyar. As an expert in the field, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlkim Okyar will share her knowledge and insights on the subject within its historical, political, and cultural contexts, providing us all with a deeper understanding.

Assoc. Prof. İlkim Büke Okyar

Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlkim Büke Okyar continues to serve in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Yeditepe University. She earned her Ph.D. in Middle East Studies at Ben-Gurion University in Israel, and her dissertation was awarded the prestigious Chaim Herzog Prize for the best thesis in its category at that time.
