ScOLa ELT Forum - English Language Teaching in Turkish Higher Education: A Journey from Retrospective to Prospective

The forum titled "English Language Teaching in Turkish Higher Education: A Journey from Retrospective to Prospective" organized by the School of Foreign Languages is a one-day forum to be held face-to-face at the Scola Building on November 3, 2023 and the aim is to explore the historical development and evaluate the current state of English language provision in Turkish Higher Education, and propose future-oriented solutions to current issues in language teaching.

The plenary speaker for the forum will be Professor Dr. Derin Atay. The forum which focuses on English Language Teach ing in Higher Education from different perspectives will include workshop groups consisting of around eight people who are experts in their fields. The groups, with the guidance of a facilitator, will discuss, explore and evaluate the historical development as well as the current state of English language provision in Turkish Higher Education, and propose future-oriented solutions to the issues in language teaching with their own perspectives and valuable insights.
