Biography: Cem Tecimer earned his master of laws and doctorate in law from Harvard Law School. He clerked for Judge William G. Young of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. His research focuses on American and comparative constitutional law as well as law and democratic backsliding, with scholarship appearing in the Yale Law Journal, International Journal of Constitutional Law, and Syracuse Law Review, among other outlets. A dual-qualified lawyer admitted to practice in New York and Istanbul, he is currently co-authoring Afterlives of Constitutions, a forthcoming book with Harvard University Press.
