Hikmet Çetin, Esteemed Politician, at Our University

Hikmet Çetin, esteemed Turkish politician, will give a talk entitled “Turkey in a Changing World” as the guest of our International Relations Department.

Hikmet Çetin served as the Foreign Minister of Turkey between 1991 and 1994 and as the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament between 1997 and 1999. After 1999 he was special advisor to President Demirel on foreign policy. Between 2004 and 2006 he served as the NATO Secretary General's first Senior Civilian Representative in Afghanistan. He is a member of the Executive Board for the European Leadership Network (ELN) and a board member of Okan University.
