May God bless all who lost their lives and bless the families that were left behind. We extend our heartfelt condolences to their loved ones and our country. We wish a fast recovery to all our rescued miners as soon as possible.

All celebratory events scheduled for May 14, 15, and 16 on campus have been cancelled due to national mourning.

OzU Youth Fest will take place between May 12 and 15 on Çekmeköy Campus. Organized by OzU Student Clubs, the fest will be celebrated with a series of concerts by national and international bands, inter-university dance shows, theatre performances, nostalgic summer film screenings, and DJ performances. The fest will also be home to the Inter-University Istanbul Eliminations to be held for the first time in Turkey under the auspices of Özyeğin University  for the European Dance Championship organized by the International Dance Organization (IDO).

Organized by OzU Dance Club, OzU Music Club, OzU Ataturkist Thought and Leadership Club, OzU Theatre Club, OzU Cinema Club and OzU International Club, all of which are managed by Özyeğin University students, OzU Youth Fest will kick off on May 12. The festival will take place on Çekmeköy Campus and last till May 15, featuring a rich array of events including concerts by national and international bands, inter-university dance shows, theatre performances, nostalgic summer film screenings, and DJ performances. OzU Youth Fest will start with the dance performances of Özyeğin University, Boğaziçi University, Koç University, ITU, Sabancı University, Abant İzzet Baysal University, Kemerburgaz University and Mimar Sinan University, followed by the  ACUBA Latino concert at 21.30.

On May 14, Wednesday, the festival will continue at full throttle with the Pinhani and Yüksek Sadakat concerts as of 20.00.  On the last day of the festival, May 15, Özyeğin University students will perform “The Dumb Waiter” under the leadership of the OzU Theatre Club. The festival will end with the Nostalgic Summer Film Screening to be held on the same day on Çekmeköy Campus.
