Global Game Jam 2017

Özyeğin to Become a Jam Site for Global Game Jam 2017on the Asian Side of Istanbul
 
Özyeğin University will be the jam site on the Asian Side of Istanbul for the Global Game Jam, the world’s largest game creation event. The Global Game Jam will be organized at Özyeğin University by the IEEE Student Chapter, from January 18 to January 22, simultaneously with the rest of the world. This year, more than 25,000 participants will attend the Global Game Jam at over 500 jam sites from 78 countries. Global Game Jam will give Turkish jammers the opportunity to showcase their skills.
During the event, participants are expected to design a computer game based on a given theme. The event will last non-stop for two days. University students and  developers will work for 48 hours straight -with no sleep- to design the best computer game.
