Maker Trainer Training

Özyeğin Üniversitesi
Orman Sk
Nişantepe Mahallesi, Çekmeköy, İstanbul 34794

The Maker Trainer Training is open to all teachers who aspire to get to know new technologies and learn different teaching methodologies. Are you ready to develop 2D and 3D models using computer-aided design tools, produce your own designs, meet Arduino, and draw and create your own electronic circuits?

Our training programs are open to all teachers working at the schools controlled by the Ministry of National Education who are interested in learning about new technologies and production methods. Our training programs can be purchased separately or as a bundle.

Modelling and Prototyping Training - December 8, 2018

Participants will learn how to draw 2D and 3D models, work with laser and 3D printers, and use Autodesk Fusion 360 to produce their own designs. They will also develop an understanding of how to export a 2D drawing file to the laser cutting machine and how to prototype. Training will offer participants the opportunity to use the 3D printing technology to produce 3D models, and gain hands-on experience in transferring their models to the 3D printer and “slicing” their models to have them printed. By the end of training, participants will have learned how to use the Fusion360 program to prepare production files for laser and 3D printers, and how to export the prepared files to the devices. Participants will also gain a general understanding about the two different production methods. Participants will keep the models they produced. Participants must bring a laptop and a mouse with them.

Arduino Training- December 15, 2018

Arduino is an open source microcontroller which is used to develop electronic projects. A worldwide community of makers - artists, hobbyists, and even engineers- use Arduino to develop DIY electronic projects, academic and artistic works, contributing to the process of creative destruction. During Arduino training, participants will be acquainted with the Arduino board, study the examples of what they can develop on the Arduino board, and have the opportunity to practice what they have learned on the board. Participants will also learn how to use the Arduino programming language to operate electronic components, learn the basic electronic circuit structure, read data from sensors, and send these data to the control structures to design the project for the desired scenario. At the end of training, participants will keep the sets they used during the sessions.

Electronic Prototyping- December 22, 2018

Participants will learn about electrical concepts and components as well as how to build circuits and control electrical components. Participants will draw their circuits using computer-aided tools, and slowly turn their models into working circuits. Participants will use basic chemistry knowledge to build their circuits. Training will enable participants to build circuits on their own for their future projects, better use the production methods, and contribute to faster prototyping. Participants will keep the circuits they will build during the workshop.
