Title: Optimal Schedule For New Flights Based On Passenger Choice And Transfer Passenger
Abstract: Flight schedule design is an important phase in airline planning process. This talk presents a methodology to determine an optimal flight schedule for a given set of new flights that would maximize potential revenue. The model maximizes revenue defined considering transfer passengers and passenger choice data depending on arrival and departure times of flights. The methodology is tested using real data of Turkish Airlines and aims to find arrival and departure times of new flights with respect to available resources. Solutions establish directives for restructuring the current flight schedule. Sensitivity of the solution is evaluated considering changing constraints and strategic objectives.
